As a member of the Direct Selling Association, LifeVantage is among the elite companies in the industry that work together to achieve favorable laws and fair regulatory treatment at the local, state, and federal levels of government. One of the ways to accomplish this and control each company’s destiny, is through “self-regulation.” The idea is that by controlling ourselves, our business practices, our conduct and ethics, we can set the level of respect and credibility we receive by government and regulatory bodies and, more importantly, the esteem with which we are held in the eyes of the consumers that surround us.
In order to advance new levels of self-regulation throughout 2017, each DSA member company has volunteered to open both corporate and distributor sponsored activities and events to “unannounced” guests from the DSA. That’s right! That good looking prospect sitting on the front row and being very attentive to each testimony shared, might be more interested in exactly what is said in product and income claims than anyone could have imagined. Not to worry LifeVantage Distributors! Simply do what you always do – read through the LifeVantage Policies and Procedures Sections 8.3.2 – “Product Claims,” and 8.3.3 – “Income claims,” before the meeting and make sure that anyone sharing their personal experiences do the same! Also, remember that products must be presented in a manner that is truthful, non-misleading and that all claims must be substantiated by competent and reliable evidence!
